Tybee Island Lighthouse Georgia
Commissioned by General James Oglethorpe in 1732. Positioned on Tybee Island guiding boats into the Savannah River. The Tybee Island Lighthouse is one of America's most intact, having all of its historic support buildings on its five-acre site. It has 178 stairs and a First Order Fresnel lens (nine feet tall).
