Week # 7 - Roads, Paths, Trails

There are so many beautiful trails and paths in Co. Wicklow where I live that I was spoiled for choice this week. However, I chose to capture this image of the Cliff Walk which runs for about 8km between Bray and Greystones. This view is just as you start the walk from the Bray side.

Starting from Bray you are heading south. To the left are wonderful views over the Irish Sea. The day I took this photo there were several seals swimming close to the rocks below. Also on this side is the railway line which serves destinations in the south of Co. Wicklow and in Co. Wexford. To the right, Bray Head rises steeply to a height of over 600ft above the Irish Sea and at this time of year casts its shadow along much of the trail during the afternoon hours.

In recent years I have done this walk many times, usually with my headphones on listening to music. It is a wonderful stretch and very conducive to getting away from life's stresses.
