Tobacco was colonial Virginia's biggest cash crop. Despite the declining market for tobacco in the U.S., it is still an important crop in Virginia. Virginia has low tobacco taxes relative to Maryland, the state directly north of Virginia. This outlet is less than a mile inside Virginia coming from Maryland. I was amused/horrified by the idea that people would use a drive-thru to get cigarettes and vape supplies.
