Upper Lake Natoma_MG_5457 as -1
Lake Natoma is the dammed up portion of the lower American River. It is part of the flood control system that helps controls water releases from Folsom Lake, upstream from here. The historic Folsom Prison grounds is in the left upper frame and all forms of travel are prohibited about a mile from the iconic Rainbow Bridge of Folsom, CA. The design of the bridge is common among the many bridges built during the early part of the 20th Century. And I think they're all known as the rainbow bridge.
