Small Sagittarius Star Cloud

At center, M24 aka the small Sagittarius Star Cloud glistens bright silver against an interstellar dust shrouded background of our MilkyWay Galaxy. Featured are various deep sky delights from M16 (Eagle Nebula), through to M8 (Lagoon Nebula). The golden hues to the lower right highlights the direction to the center of our grand galaxy.


This image is a twelve panel, RGB composite mosaic spanning 14.3 x 7.2 degrees.

Camera: SBIG STL-11000M

Mount: Losmandy Titan

Integrated exposure time: 36 hours (3 hours per panel)
