Understanding the hearts and minds of UK audiences, took place as part of the industry events programme of the BFI London Film Festival 2012, with media partner Variety. It involved a presentation of the key findings of the report, Opening Our Eyes: How film contributes to the culture of the UK, followed by a panel debate centred around themes such as What are the characteristics of British audiences? With an introduction from the Head of Research and Statistics and panellists including David Kosse (Universal), Julia Wrigley (Film 4), Ben Roberts (BFI) and Andrew Macdonald (Producer).
