Night sky over Yosemite....
My first attempt at light painting and I think it came out OK. I had not intended to do any light painting but when I saw this dead tree during the day, I decided to give it a try.
A bit challenging to compose as it was already very dark when I set up for the shot. I was there earlier when there was still some light out but had to return to Camp Curry for an "emergency" and by the time I returned, it was way too dark already.
There were 2 light sources on the tree. The bluish color was from my simple led flashlight I used to paint the tree. The warmer yellow light on the right side of the tree and the grass was courtesy of the park ranger truck by the sentinel bridge parking lot. Apparently, the park ranger pulled over a car and was doing a sobriety check on the driver. Couldn't avoid the light trails from the cars as there were a lot of them leaving the park (taken Sunday night before Labor Day).

Funny thing when I was trying to compose this shot. I was lighting up the tree with the flashlight as I was looking through the viewfinder. As people went by me, they also started shining their light into the tree and were asking me if there was something interesting on the tree.
