Alfa Romeo GTV6 Grand Prix (1985)
The GTV 6 (1983 - 1987) is a version of the GTV with SOHC V6 2.5 litres engine from the Alfa 6 luxury sedan. Because the V6 2.5 L builts higher than the 4 cylinders 2.0 L the hood has a bulge.
The 158 PS (116 KW) V6 is equipped with a BOSCH fuel injection and reaches top speed at 210 km/h.
The spotted GTV 6 in superior original condition (except the bulge's cover) is one of the rare special editions "Grand Prix".
As tribute to Alfa Romeo in the formula 1 Alfa Romeo Germany engaged in 1983 the corporation Haeckner in Kippenheim to produce 100 special versions "Grand Prix" for Germany [the output for Switzerland (circa 800) and France (circa 300 including 2.0 L-version) was higher].
Beause of big demand the number of pieces for germany was increased to 200 units, too.
The German GTV6 "Grand Prix" was available in dark red (as spotted), silver and black. Characteristics are fog lamps, lacquered side panels, bumpers and grille as well as 7x15 Rial-alloys. The interior was individually with a wide leather covered centre console of special Design with two additional instruments.
