If Fritz Lang were alive today he would probably choose this place as his shooting location. Times Sq. reminds me that a city has a life of its own, and a style of its own.
One of the most favorite spots for any photographer, this is actually not a very easy pace to photograph and be satisfied with the result (least in my opinion). The incredible dynamic range poses primary challenge. I used my tripod to take two shots. One for getting the light trails and for exposing the relatively darker regions in the frame. I took a separate shot to expose for the illuminated sign boards. Blended them manually in PS. Usually I try to avoid anything smaller than f11 to avoid lens diffraction, but in this case I used f14 to get stellar looking lights from the bulbs/street lights.
