Mercury & Ysarex

Just assembled this long-awaited kickstarter purchase, a Mercury "Universal" modular camera. This ultra-light contraption is part of an extensive kit of 3-D printed camera components devised by Zach Horton of Mercury Works. Shown here with a Wista 6x7 roll-film holder connected to the 4x5 Graflok back and my Rodenstock Ysarex 127mm f/4.5 lens in a Prontor Shutter that came off an old Polaroid Pathfinder camera. The Mercury system provides a custom fit lens mounting that connects to a helical for scale-focusing. There is also a ground-glass unit that fits the Graflok back. This camera is extremely light and will be just the thing for carrying into the mountains.
