Greetings from Idaho.
NOAA's National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho, sent outreach team members to the mountains for Adopt-A-Highway litter pickup. The route was along State Highway 21 near Idaho City. In addition to recreational travelers, many wildland firefighters will reap the benefits of this service as they travel to timber fires each summer. The team collected seven full bags of litter and even experienced their first snowfall of the season. The next pickup event will be after the snow melts next spring.
