Chinese Historical Society of Southern California - 2011 Golden Spike Awards

Col. Mark Toy’s lifetime of accomplishments were recognized by the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California with their Golden Spike Award.

 

In keeping with this year’s theme New Roads Taken: Chinese American Pioneers he was one of a diverse group of seven recognized at the societies 36th gala dinner.

 

Col. Toy is a West Point graduate, holds three Master Degrees, is the first Chinese American to command the Los Angeles District and is currently the Corps’ ranking Chinese American.

 

On hand to introduce Toy was Brig. Gen. (ret) Larry Davis a former commander of the LA District and as Toy put it a long time mentor.
