Working Late

Newer Older

1982, Financial District, Shaklee Terraces,
444 Market St., San Francisco.
Skidmore Owings and Merrill.

One of San Francisco's most iconic office buildings, Shaklee Terraces is great to shoot from many angles both at day and night. The building ripples in all the right places and is the gift that keeps on giving photographically speaking. I've been shooting it for years.

I love and hate this building all at the same time. Coincidentally I walked over there today to take approximately this shot but the sun was exactly overhead. Anyway, well spotted.

ive never seen that building in SF, i suppose i must now. it looks cold, and steely modern, people working late.. feelings and thoughts about our money obsessed world, recession, etc.

Great vision. The perspective makes this building look much more interesting than it really is.

I have used this image in a post on the Wellington Architecture Centre website, which provides links back to this page, and to your Shaklee Terraces set. Please advise me if you are unhappy with this use, and I will be sure to remove it asap.

    Thanks,

ps - this might explain the what the post is about to a non-Wellingtonian...
