Nursing Pinning Ceremony 5-4-12
Florida Keys Community College marked the graduation of 33 soon-to-be nurses with a traditional nurses’ pinning ceremony in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on Friday, May 4. Each graduate was presented his or her pin by select family members and friends. Originating with nursing pioneer Florence Nightingale, the presentation of the nurses’ pin symbolically welcomes new nurses to the profession.

Later that evening, the students received their Associate in Science in Nursing degrees at the college's 46th Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2012.
