I say real because although I've labelled pictures as HDR before, this is my first HDR I have done which is so-called 'true'. Meaning I shot this by auto-bracketing 3 shots and then tone-mapping them in Photomatix. I've still got a lot to learn with HDR as I didn't discover until afterwards that I had bracketed this shot at intervals of 1.3 instead of 2 but that won't happen again! I'm still pleased how this turned out.
The picture itself was taken late one saturday afternoon at the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre (I did work experience there once) near Newbury. I was disappointed to see that the sun had already gone down, however the idea that day was to mainly practice my HDR technique. Therefore, the reflections on the water and the faint red sky were still opportunities not to be missed.
