The Yorkshire Arboretum Trust have a scheme of Open Gardens to visit during the Spring and Summer, 28 in all. This is to raise funds for their work and to give people a chance to nosey around other peoples gardens. We went to Fosghyll which is owned by a friend of ours. As a former Botany professor he has filled it with interesting plants, over 1000 species and counting, extensive wild areas as well as the more formal and experimental beds.
