1967 Meteor Montcalm S33 by Ford of Canada ( Mercury )

A made in Canada only Model. This vehicle utilized the Ford Galaxie chassis and running gear with a 390 Maurader 4V 315HP engine. The interior and dash were the same as the Ford XL with black vinyl and bucket seats. The body sheet metal was the same as the American Mercury with a Canadian Meteor only designed grille and name plates. The sides were void of the standard Montcalm mouldings and the white stripe was part of the S 33 option package only and signified that this was the sport model. This photo was taken when the car was new in 1967 at the Rothmans Art Gallery in Stratford Ontario Canada. As the original owner of this Meteor an a life time car hobbiest and car business owner I have seldom ever seen another 67 S33 (model 63M) either real or in a photo. This vehicle also had optional Mag hubcaps, power windows, power steering and power disc (front) brakes, chrome engine dress-up, low restriction air cleaner, select shift C6 Transmission, vinyl top, power remote mirror & am radio with rear speaker. Finished in code T Cardinal red with black vinyl interior. The Ford records show this as 1 of 599 S33 and 1 of 29319 '67 Meteors in total. It was the only one built and equipped exactly as it was.
