Loving MacKenzie.

    Newer Older

MacKenzie's mom left when she was three months old. I met her at my church when she was four; her dad had been hired as the church janitor. I knew from the moment I saw her that God had put us in each other's lives on purpose.

Today she's 8 and I'm 25 and still unmarried and childless. But that's okay, because I'm busy loving MacKenzie.

Hi, all! Thank you so much for your sweet comments about my photo.

MacKenzie is one of five girls in my life that are from broken home situations; she joins four other girls -- Angelina, age 7; Aviean, age 4; Juliana, age 3 and Olivia, age 2. Three of the five are related; one of the five is related to me. It's confusing, I know!

If you'd like to read about their stories, you can see them on my blog at www.ministrysofabulous.com. Olivia's story (featured in one of the other pictures in my stream) is there as well; she's doing well after spending quite a bit of time in the PICU!

      Thanks again!

This is a beautiful shot! And the story about wanting to buy her a camera -- and then getting the gift card -- fantastic! Thank you for sharing.

Loved reading the story behind this picture here and on your blog. I am sorry I emailed you before I read the story so of course I thought she was your daughter. Which it doesn't take blood to love her so much as you do. She is blessed to have you and the other girls as well>!
