Liberty 325pc Jigsaw Cycles Perfecta Alphonse Mucha IMG_2152
This well-known colour lithograph by Alphonse Mucha, advertising Cycles Perfecta, was first printed c1897 by F Champenois of Paris. The original was surmounted by that text, which along with the background, has been removed to create this superb laser-cut shaped puzzle by Liberty Puzzles. It features extensive edge-shaping, some colour line-cutting and drop-outs and their trademark animated whimsies.
The hair was a lot more difficult than I'd expected, and I will certainly look for this sort of feature again. I was determined not to use the image on the box, although I didn't follow Liberty's advice and buy the puzzle without an image.
