Boy With PSP

Just got hold of my brand new 80-200 F2.8. Too dusty to go out and give it a twirl so decided to test it's portrait capabilities. Oh boy, it sure is sharp - and heavy!.
2 SB-600 flash units set on either side in wireless mode, and bounced off the ceiling, with the SB-800 flash on the camera - also bounced off the ceiling.
Even if I don't get good pictures with this lens, I am sure to build up my upper body strength carrying it around :)

Thanks guys. This lens was on my wish list for quiet some time. I got a very special price from the local Nikon dealer (Ashraf & Co.) because I ordered it through them, and waited for nearly 1 month to receive the lens. Approx. $950.
I love the fact that it retains its 2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range, and it is sharp even wide open.
It is not something you can carry around in Kuwait for general photography, but for low-light and and some fast action photography, it should prove handy.

ohhh yes baby!!! :) that's a beautiful piece of glass my friend. hahahah yeah :P you'll get ur biceps worked out!

I have a 70-200 2.8 w/ stabilization and I know excatly what you're talking about when you said "Sharp"!!!! typically this mm range has always been superior regardless of the manufacturer.

:) Congratulations on the new gear and hopefully we can go out shooting in the near future.

Ahhh, a dream to own such a lens, lucky you are! Have you tried photographing birds with the lens?

      Thanks everyone.
@gurrygudfinns - Not much opportunities to shoot birds where I live. In fact, I have not had much chance to use this lens at all - as the summer is very stifling here, and very difficult to get out.
