English Country Garden

There are some pretty gardens around the village of Hurst Green and this one with it's "Beware of the Trains" sign made me smile as I looked over the little wooden gate and into the beautiful English country garden :) ......

How many kinds of sweet flowers grow

In an English country garden ?

I'll tell you now of some that I know

Those I miss you'll surely pardon

Daffodils, heart's ease and flox

Meadowsweet and lady smocks

Gentian, lupin and tall hollyhocks

Roses, foxgloves, snowdrops, blue forget-me-nots,

In an English country garden :)
