Old "spooky" bridge ... HDR
Just press L or click on the shot to see it on black background !!!
I have repeatedly stated through my photos' presentation that the area of Drama possesses one of the most "photography" inviting landscapes in all Greece ... The above shot is an additional proof that my claim is not far from the truth ... The whole process actually calls for a little bit (or maybe a lot) of "walking" though but "what the hell" who wants to be using his DSLR or even his brand new compact camera from his own living room?
The truth is that I particularly enjoy creating inviting and mysterious atmospheres out of rather plain shots, but in order to find such shots one must really walk a lot ... All the rest are more or less software related issues ... I'm still experimenting with alternative presentations of this shot (like B/W conversion f.e) ... If I come across a more visually pleasant version, be sure that I will let you know !!!!
NIKON D90 DSLR with Nikon Nikkor 18 - 55 lens, manual mode, f 9 (needed a pin sharp foreground detail and a clear DOF), ISO 200, focal length 35 mm, auto exposure mode, cloudy weather adjusted white balance, center weighted average light metering mode, use of ND HOYA X2 filter, HDR made by only one original RAW shot with shutter speed 1/50 s ascribing to the scene a kind of "spooky" atmosphere and managing to accurately convey the scene's lighting conditions to the viewer, flash didn't go off, no tripod ....
