river, boat and the reflecting lanterns (revisited)
Well, I took one of my old images and reprocessed it today with whatever I have learn't in the last few month. I used the HDR processing to bring out more details in the building as well give it the right colors. I also cropped it a bit and I believe that has given it a much better composition.
I took this shot about 6 months ago in the beautiful little town called Hoi An, in Vietnam. This town is one of the most charming places I've visited. The river which runs through the town adds these magical reflections to already beautifully lit up town houses.
About Hoi An
Hội An is a city on the coast of the South China Sea in the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is located in Quảng Nam province and is home to approximately 120,000 inhabitants.
The city possessed the largest harbour in Southeast Asia in the 1st century and was known as Lâm Ấp Phố (Champa City). Between the seventh and 10th centuries, the Cham (people of Champa) controlled the strategic spice trade and with this came tremendous wealth. The boats still used today in Hội An probably have the same hull shape as those used by the Champas for ocean voyages.
