A little fun with the Sun...

Around November last year, we spent about a month in the most wonderful country of Philippines and we fell in love with it. I had never ever seen such gorgeous white sandy beaches which also serve you with brilliant sunsets on a daily basis.

We decided that if we ever finish travelling around the world, Philippines will be the first place we will re-visit :)

This is a shot from one of the tiniest inhabited islands of Philippines called Siquijor. Throughout our stay on this island, we did not see another person on the beach. They were some of the most secluded beaches we had even seen.

About Siquijor

Siquijor is an island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region. Its capital is the municipality also named Siquijor. To the northwest of Siquijor are Cebu and Negros, to the northeast is Bohol and to the south, across the Bohol Sea, is Mindanao.

Siquijor is the third smallest province in the country, in terms of population as well as land area (after Camiguin and Batanes). For a time it was part of Negros Oriental.

About Philippines

The Philippines, officially known as the Republic of the Philippines (Filipino: Republika ng Pilipinas), is a country in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. To its north across the Luzon Strait lies Taiwan. West across the South China Sea sits Vietnam. The Sulu Sea to the southwest lies between the country and the island of Borneo, and to the south the Celebes Sea separates it from other islands of Indonesia. It is bounded on the east by the Philippine Sea. Its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire and its tropical climate make the Philippines prone to earthquakes and typhoons but have also endowed the country with natural resources and made it one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the world. An archipelago comprising 7,107 islands, the Philippines is categorized broadly into three main geographical divisions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Its capital city is Manila.
