herringbone mittens

    Newer Older

I love these so much, it took 2 weeks to actually take them off for pictures!

pattern: herringbone mittens by elliphantom knits

yarn: Yarn Nerd 1200 MHz BFL, dyed in custom shades of Dijon Yellow and Chocolate Red.

needles / gauge: 6 spi and 8 rpi on US #4's

mods: to accommodate for my gauge difference with sport weight yarn, I worked rows 38-41 two more times, and added 4 more rows to the thumb chart (2 increase rows, 2 decrease rows)

The yarn is fabulous, especially the Dijon, and the mittens are really great! They must be really soft and warm.

      Thanks!

They're so soft and warm, I never want to take them off. I was a bit worried I'd catch the floats, having never worn stranded mittens, but they don't get in the way at all. In fact, they even mat down a bit after wear.
