Old Dutch Windmill IR

A view of the Old Dutch Windmill, located in Wamego, Kansas. This is an infrared shot of the old mill, about a 50 second exposure which blurred the clouds and it was windy which also blurred the leaves on the trees and shrubs.. Normally my IR shots come out with a red cast to the image, and I process into full Black and White, but I tried a different series of edits intended on keeping some of the color. This is the result. Hope you like it!

This old windmill was built in 1878 by a local farmer who was a young immigrant from Holland and was used to grind grain. When he died, the farm and windmill was purchased by another farmer who after years of neglect, decided to donate the windmill to the city of Wamego and it was moved it to the city park in Wamego stone by stone, piece by piece. Of course, people come from miles around to take pictures of it. Where else in the heartland can you find a full size Dutch windmill?
