"Fronch" Toast
Vegan pain perdu: whole-wheat bread soaked in a mixture of soymilk, cornstarch, and chickpea flour, and cooked as usual in a pan. Adding a splash of vanilla and some nutmeg made them kind of nog-like, but good. (Ooh, I have an unopened thing of vegan nog -- I should try subbing that for the soymilk next time.) With obligatory maple syrup.
