FLAMINGO GARDENS 11-30-08

While we were walking through Flamingo Gardens we came across this snake eating a rat. While he was eating the rat the Night Heron kept a weary eye on the action. We later found out that they release the snakes in the aviary to keep the rat population down. They make sure they collect all of the snakes during the times that there are eggs and young birds in the aviary so they dont loose any to the snakes.
