This excellent series of mosaics featuring the life and work of Alfred Hitchcock can be found in the underpass at the entrance to Leytonstone Underground Station. They were commissioned in 1999 to commemorate 100 years since Hitchcock's birth at 517 High Road Leytonstone and were installed in 2001. The mosaics were made by Greenwich Mural Workshop.

Thanks ever so much for displaying these. I am a big fan of Hitchcock, and actually lived in Leytonstone in the late 1970s-mid 1980s. They weren't there then of course, and I have never been back to the area, so was unaware that they existed. Really nice to see them. Very well photographed as well!

Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed them. I also lived in Leytonstone about that time. As soon as I heard about these I stopped off at Leytonstone especially to see them.
