Basilica of St John Lateran

There was a sign inside that said "Welcome to the church of the Pope". Damn church-hogging pope!

Wiki says this is "the cathedral of the Church of Rome, Italy, and the official ecclesiastical seat of the Bishop of Rome, who is the Pope."

It was the closest thing to our guesthouse and also where I purchased a map of Rome and Steve's bobblehead Caesar (whoops Steve hope you don't read this before I can surprise you); the Colosseum is within walking distance from here.

I took 30 minutes or so to watch tourists and think about the previous few days ...

Thank you, Italy.

Loved the statues on the roof, though. Impressive.

@ Rome, Italy.
