My first Turkey in San Francisco
Though I ate a mid afternoon meal with friends in Portrero Hill, I had already bought this turkey, so late on Thanksgiving day I made this, taking it out of the oven at 15 minutes before midnight. It is a 14 1/2 lb hen turkey, previously frozen but without any additives or solution added. I will be bringing a large portion of this turkey to the first Citicinima at Citizen Space on Friday Nov 24th along with cranberry sauce I made from organic local cranberries, the sourdough stuffing inside the turkey, and mashed yams and russet potatoes, and some sourdough bread as well.
