Oh man, I've even more excited now seeing this final version! Can I ask you what size you made for Beatrix? I was planning the 2-3 year size for June who will be 2 at the end of January. She takes a 2T/3T in most clothes right now though, so if I am knitting, I usually go a size up so there's a chance of it fitting her for more than a few hours, but I think if I made the 4-5, it would be way too big for this year, what do you think, is it generously sized or more fitted?

That's about B's size too (she's about 25 lbs and in a 2T). I knit her the 2-3 years size and now it falls just below her hips. I'm hoping that between the extra long length and the cuffed sleeves, I'll be able to squeeze two years out of it. Your concern should be for the length, not the width. The cabled rib is so stretchy - I could almost stretch it to fit me!

this is fabulous! if i didn't have a little baby taking up all my knitting time i'd happily test knit for you -- good luck with that though, it looks like a wonderful sweater!

I was going to ask about the large wrist cuffs, and now they make sense! You're going to get a zillion test knitters, but I hope we can still do our trade! :)

It's so cute. I wish I could test knit, but I worry that I won't be able to knit it fast enough for your purposes.

Wow! What a great cardi - ingenious idea! I wish I had time to help you out and test knit, oh! and baby e is a little too small to try it on right now.
