Don River Railway along the beach

On 31 May 1986, the Don River Railway ran a trip from Devonport along the north-west coast of Tasmania to Burnie and return - the first such mainline trip since steam working officially ended in the early '70s.

The red of locomotive MA 2 makes a nice contrast to the blue sky as it runs along the beach at Sulphur Creek.
