secret beach sand M

    Newer Older

I wasn't quite thrilled with how my previous attempt at a M-shaped sandcastle turned out, so I tried again while in Vieques, on Secret Beach. This was the day after my digital camera got slammed by a wave, so had to make do with the lomo fisheye and an underwater disposable. The fisheye definitely came out better.

Ooooooh, nice! I don't think you've taken a fisheye shot of one of your castles before, have you? I love the vivid colors and the way the M appears to tower over everything.

Megan: I've taken a few in the past, but always been really disappointed - the fisheye distortion and grain just doesn't help the sandcastle. I was pretty happy with how this came out, though. The disposable camera's shots aren't bad either, so may post one for another view...eventually.

Leila: I didn't even think of that! ;-) Maybe I'll make an icon out of it.

That is great - it's very graphic and structured - love the fisheye here.

This is just brilliant! The fisheye worked well here, and the colours are gorgeous. I can see why you returned to Vieques - all that sand... but Secret Beach may not be so secret now! ;-)
