I don't think the brakes on my car could handle this hill. Only one way to find out...

I've got some on Vale Street, but the colours are very good on this pic.

I like your shot. I live in this street and have spent some time trying to photograph it to show the gradient as I see it, still working on it!

We had our first and only experience with Vale Street while driving a mercedes sprinter - if you live on the street and heard the screams yesterday it was me - I have never been so scared in all my life

Good use of a wide angle lens, but I think a better composition would have led to an even greater sense of steepness. Had you moved a few steps to your left, crouched down, and turned the camera just a little to the right, you'd have probably gotten an even greater sense of steepness, as well as a composition that more emphasized the street and less on the green house.

Baldwin Street, Dunedin, New Zealand is in the Guinness book of records as being the steepest street in the world with an maximum gradient of 35%.

Apart from the ridiculous bottom 15 or so feet which is unbelievably steep, i am sure Constitution hill in Swansea is steeper than this.

I always chuckle at the local Bristol expression, "I'm going up Totterdown!"
