Stair Steppin' to Heaven

This gorgeous waterfall is named Hector Falls. The water tumbles down many steps of limestone and shale, making its way to the southeast side of Seneca Lake in New York State. This is only the upper third of the falls: the lower two-thirds flows under the roadway from where the image was taken, and is not visible unless you view the area from a boat on the lake. Watkins Glen State Park is nearby, and there are myriad falls to enjoy in the area (although this one was my favorite).
