  • yes modulex... there are a few modulex bricks sprinkled along the sides of this ship aswell
  • A very awesome modulex brick: www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x714
  • Can't find the reference for this red slope. i'm pretty sure it's a fabuland brick. ITs connectivity is very small aswell
  • Thanks! At first this side of the ship was to be covered with a good dozen of those red 'dagger' parts ... but then i prefered the white and red train crossing piece
  • Well done here - Haypro
  • I like the look of this protruding piece, very space dockish - ZokeVaydo
  • Nice touch. - Red Spacecat

Sobani Battleship

Newer Older

More compact in design than other Sobani Ships, this new generation of war vessels focuses on their primary role: delivering pain to the enemies of the Fleet.

This new Batlleship design features 8 capital torpedo launchers for assault on stationnary targets, bombardment, and capital ship killing. ITs targeting systems are so precise that you could hit a moth in the eye. However torpedoes themselves and their simple propulsion systems makes this electronics system frenzy a bit useless.

This build features a bit of everything: modulex, duplo , fabuland and regular system bricks... IT was triggered mostly by the sight of Red Spacecat's Feros Tanker www.flickr.com/photos/redspacecat/6088401517/in/contacts/
And by Shannon's recent red and white creations: www.flickr.com/photos/10104652@N06/6091086757/in/pool-122...

Pictures are a bit experimental. I need to learn how to use my camera better.

@ Slushey, Yes this is the same colortheme (probably the same subfaction) as my refineries from a while ago.

@Shamisenfred... Heh je suis sur que les torpilles vont evoluer par la suite ;)
Sinon il y'a un peu de défences légeres mais on ne les voit pas :D

@Henrik some of the special bricks used were noted and linked. However i couldn't find the fabuland ones on peeron.

Stunning. I especially like the wheel-greeblies set in the Duplo fence pieces.

That's too epic for words. < These don't truly begin to explain it.

You are a genius Pierre! Also, :)
I would note the areas I love but it would be covered in them...You have such a skill with using pieces that have detail smaller than a stud ("sub-stud"?) and combining them in a sculptural style. I gaze at this in awe.

Beautiful design work, Pierre! You're the best at making use of everything Lego has to offer.

If there's ever a course that people can attend to learn how to build awesome ships out of LEGO, your work should definitely be on the curriculum!

Your work never fails to amaze me with your unique style. I feel honored that you felt inspired by something I made. It was of course you who inspired me to do some Homeworld in the first place, so indirectly you've inspired yourself I guess :)
