To the left, the mixing bowl/ baking pan which fits over the drive shaft socket via that round base just visible at the bottom. On the left front of the machine is the paddle, which fits over the interlocking cam inside the bowl which is turned by the drive shaft underneath. Both are non-stick so the bread comes out easily when it's finished baking.
