Captain Starn’s

    Newer Older

It was sad taking this photo with the buildings literally in ruin. Captain Starn’s Restaurant and Boating Center at one time was a major Atlantic City attraction. In addition to dining -- boats left Captain Starn’s Pier for fishing, sightseeing and sailing trips. Captian Starn's was used for the filming of the 1972 movie "King of Marvin Gardens".

Thank you for these photos. I spent many evenings on the sailboat cruise from Capt. Starns with my aunt Anna after a great clam chowder. Your photos reminded me how glorious this city was up until the 60's. I always wanted to live there when I grew up and still feel deeply for the 20's homes and remember the glorious hotels. Tthanks again.
