Bagel Benny
From "Glenn's" in Red Deer. Eggs Benedict variant with bagel instead of English muffin and sausage instead of ham. The hollandaise sauce is nothing resembling hollandaise: it is basically flower and water and something to make it slightly tart. The sausage was good but not special. The hash browns are great! The bagel is a great idea and it would have been remarkable if they had actually put hollandaise or some other reasonable sauce on top.
The courtyard at Glenn's is truely remarkable. It has two fountains and flowers everywhere. Despite Glenn's being located next to a major highway the courtyard is a delightful refuge.
Glenn's has a huge assortment of teas. While some places have a wine menu, Glenn's has a separate tea menu. My recommendation, skip the Benny and have the Tea.
