Happy Birthday, Joyce! You have such crazy costumes and awesome props in your character shots - I was at a bit of a loss as to whether or not I could figure out how to copy you. I loved this photo when I saw it - and it struck me as a little easier since it just needed a chair, a costume and the card. Yeah - I don't have to tell anyone that I photoshopped the card into my photo - badly.
I've been wanting to buy a wig for ages but never in a million years did I imagine the first one I bought would be of this variety! The next one I buy will be the one I've been dreaming of since my first try at 365... soon...
I am about to spend a small fortune on moving my mother's beautiful piano (not really a fortune but I was surprised at how much it was going to cost...duh, MJ, you don't want to move it.. you think the guys you'll hire wanna move the monster?). Its exterior is in pristine condition but I know it hasn't been tuned since before mom died (19 years ago. Shocking.). The poor thing is going to cry when it sees its new home. And the cats will probably do terrible things to that lovely finish.
Anyhoo. I also almost spent money on a lighting set-up and then I second-guessed my purchase. Studio lighting? Or put that money toward another lens? I don't know what'll get the most use and part of me is chastising myself for thinking studio ideas when clearly, this gig is just for fun. There are about as many photographers in these parts as there are engineers - and that's saying something. Does the world need another photographic dreamer? I don't know what I'll do. Pfft. Plus, I can't even decide on what lens I'd buy if I were to buy one. Maybe that's an indication that I shouldn't spend the money right now on camera equipment. And take piano lessons instead. Or not.
