Black-bellied Whistling Ducks

There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man, than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before. - Robert Wilson Lynd

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed having these wonderful ducks visit our chicken yard over the summer. I think they are about to leave and migrate to their winter range in Mexico. May they avoid the hunters, the oil slicks, the degradation of their expected stopovers, and return to us again next summer. Bless you, dear Ducks!!
