The Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna (Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, 1687) was adorned with extensive baroque gardens and garden architectures from 1743 onwards, featuring among others the 1772 "Gloriette" Belvedere on the Schönnbrunnerberg, a mock ruined "Roman Bath" (inspired by Piranesi), a maze and signifcant sculptural fountains and cascades.
