i've been feeling guilty of being formulaic regarding my images. check the weather, find a good forecast, pick a good place on the map (lakes when it's still, ocean when it's blowing) set the alarm for some ridiculous dark hour, slam coffee, drive it, set up with a wide lens and wait for the magic to happen. bah. i've been doing that scheme for about a year and a half, before that it was only panoramas for like 3 or 4 years, but i love all imagery, so long as it's emotional on some level. and i've been printing recently and am finding the value and importance of a diversified portfolio- to some extent. so i'm looking for the details now, or the landscape reflected in the details. my 100mm is the hardware best suited to this job me thinks, nonetheless this photo will probably be panned by my contemporaries as it's not a scenic, as if Flickr is a vehicle for armchair traveling, not that there is anything wrong with that, i'm just saying. well i hope ya like it and there will be more super wide to come, have a nice day- Nate.
