Summertime and the grilling is easy

My kefta kebobs on the electric grill.

To make this delicious Middle Eastern dish, cut up a slice of white bread into 1/2" pieces, just wet with milk and mash into a paste with a fork. Mix the paste with a pound of ground lamb, a half cup of finely chopped parsley, and about three or four green onions, also finely chopped.

Once mixed, form into a ball (wet your hands if you need to), skewer and then flatten into a hot dog shape.

Normally I'd add a bit of garlic, too, but it seems I managed to run out and didn't feel like going to the store again.

Cook over a hot grill for 10-12 minutes, turning once.

Serve with pita bread, and hummus or garlic sauce, and a side of tabouli.
