1997-2000, St. Vincent de Paul Van Eslander Family Center
Begun as a unique partnership between a university based architecture school/community design center and a nationally recognized architecture/ engineering firm, this union attempted to provide services that such a client (being a non-profi t organization) would not normally have access to. The Detroit Collaborative Design Center provided expertise in community interaction and advanced digital design; while SHG provided years of experience in project delivery, management, costing, and technical coordination. My role begun as a member of the Design Team during the Conceptual Design and Design Development Phases, then morphed to Project Architect once the project progressed to the Construction Documentation phase.
