2005, Second Baptist Church of Detroit
Historic Second Baptist Church of Detroit is the oldest African-American Church in Michigan with its roots dating back to 1836. It is located at the corner of Monroe & Beaubien in downtown Detroit. The main church building, originally constructed in 1914, was covered with an EIFS system back in 1979 and was in need of major repair. As a project designer with HAA, I was the lead designer for this facade renovation which was completed in late January of 2006. (Materials/Designs prepared by R. Baltimore while employed by Hamilton Anderson Associates)
