Clive Square

From the hill, I realised I could see Clive Square ... one of the oldest parts of Napier.

During the 1860s-80s the square was used as a sports ground or village green. In 1884 sport left the square and the gardens were formed.

You can see the goldfish pond and the Carillion, which plays a selection of tunes every half hour between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm.
