Beneath the Northern Lights
Taken outside one of the lavvu huts in Tromsø, Norway!
The story about how we got to this place is almost as magnificent as the hike itself. It was our first night in the Arctic Circle, and the moment I stepped out of my cabin at around 8pm I could see the lights directly above me. My friends and I quickly put on our warm clothes and headed off down the track exploring. We were buzzing with excitement! As I was setting up the tripod for my first shot I realised I had left the memory card back in the cabin! So cursing constantly I bolted back and got the card before heading off again. This time, we ran into a Norwegian local who told us about this hut and we worked together to reach it. When we arrived 45 minutes later, a hot fire and some free ginger snaps awaited us. After we set the fire up I ran outside and took this. I will never forget that night!
