Spotting Spotbill & Shoveler

The Spot-Billed Duck (Anas poecilorhyncha) sometimes referred to as the Spotbill is in the foreground clearly displaying the yellow tip in its beak, which has gotten it the name. The other end of the beak has red tip.

A pair of Northern Shovellers (Anas clypeata) with their significant massive shovel like bills were swimming in the background at Sholinganallur.

The brighter and colorful one in the right is the male and the one that follows him in drab grayish brownish colors is the female.
